Description | We will drive to Miracle Beach and walk along the ocean to Black Creek. This is a short 3.5 km walk up the creek and thru the campground. We will then drive to Salmon Point and have lunch. Afterward we will do the 7 km walk along the ocean to Oyster River and back. This goes by a Ducks Unlimited area so is good for bird watching. |

Notes: | This is along the ocean so not a good walk for heavy wind and/or rain. |
Hi Les,
just want to let you know, that I walk this area weekly with my dog and there are other people with their dogs and the dogs are allowed to be off leash (but under control) along those beaches all the way (live in CR) .We did not have a problem over the years. Ducks and other water fowl along those beaches nest safely at Woodhus slough. What I know, that this rule -leashed dogs applies strictly at Comox at Sand Spit where the nesting area is too close.to the main beach.
