Description Activities and destination will depend on the interests of the group.  At this time, all the cross country trails and nearly all of the snowshoe trails are open.
Meeting Place Quadra ferry terminal to Campbell River.  Car pools should be arranged in advance.
Departure Time 9:00 ferry to Campbell River.  Those taking cars need to be early enough to get on the 9:00 ferry.
Difficulty
 Up to the group.
Costs Ferry and shared fuel.  Snowshoe pass is $8; Cross-country ski pass is $21 or $16 over 65.
Trip limits Availability of cars going up to Mt. Washington
Dogs? No
Notes: Bring equipment, warm clothing and lunch.

Description We expect that Mt. Washington will open Dec 11th for alpine skiing.  Snowshoe rentals will be available.  They have snow now and next week is expected to be cold.  The plan is to spend a few hours snowshoeing in the Paradise Meadows area, but the activity and the length of time may depend on the group.  This is also dependent on the road conditions.

 Depends on the snow, but it’s the first trip of the year, so we won’t make it a marathon.

Mt. Washington – 14 January 2015

Description This trip is dependent on snow and on interest.  If it goes, there will certainly be snowshoeing, but if others want to down-hill or cross country, the group does not have to stay together.  Send an e-mail if you want to go.

Description Carpools to Mt. Washington.  Since members may want to undertake very different activities and challenges, there is no arrangement to have a coordinator with you on the trail.  It is assumed that you will stay within the groomed area and return to the car at the agreed-upon time.
